David Muyllaert – Papercuts on display
The three remaining papercuts from David’s eight solo exhibition are now on display in the new Joburger restaurant in the centre of Dublin. They are up as a feature of the restaurant while also being for sale.
The owner of Joburger, Mr. Joe Macken, is one of Dublin’s leading lights in the restaurant and pop-up restaurant business, and a supporter of the arts in all its forms.
Three quarters of the show sold in May and are happily hanging on walls in Dublin and beyond, so please do call in if you can. The pieces are untitled but still retain the theme and narrative that was explored by David in the context of the whole show. Hopefully they also work individually. They feature a boxing match, a crashed bi-plane and a gentleman and his dog arriving in the city (this imaginary European city was the centre-point of the exhibition).
Thanks in advance for any interest! The images will be online soon, but it is important to see them on the wall as the technique can be observed with the naked eye.
JOBURGER: Castle Market (beside The Powerscourt Centre. Fully licensed and open from midday til late each day.
David is also available for life drawing tuition and commission art work for CD covers etc.
